Great news for the energy storage industry!
The acceleration of global battery manufacturing has consequently lowered the price for Lithium ion (Li-on) batteries. This provides new market opportunities for the EV and stationary grid energy storage industries, allowing them to compete with fossil fuel generation technologies. Another positive is that there is currently little competition for Li-ion batteries, which will facilitate further growth for the EV grid energy storage market.
